Working principle:
Simple to operate
Solar absorption: by solar tubes and converted into heat
Heat transfer: heat pipes conduct heat from within solar tube up to header pipe
Energy storage: water is circulated through header via intermittent pump cycling
Each time water circulates through header, temperature will raise by 5 to 10°C
Throughout day water in tank gradually heated
Applications:
Suitable for mains pressure water (up to 8 bar/116psi)
Suitable for domestic and commercial solar water heating applications
